Situada perto da entrada norte da cidade, próximo da Ponte Marechal Carmona, pode observar-se a zona da curraleta. Trata-se de uma área descampada, com piso de terra batida, vedada por tranqueiras, onde se efetua a descarga do transporte dos toiros para as Esperas e Largadas nas ruas de Vila Franca de Xira, por altura das Festas do Colete Encarnado e da Feira de Outubro.
É comum muitos entusiastas das festas da cidade deslocarem-se ao local para acompanhar o trabalho de condução dos animais, por parte dos campinos, e o início da Largada dos toiros, assinalado com o lançamento de foguetes.
